Lt. Col (Retd.) Bandla Ankaiah has been honored with the Commendation Card (Seva Medal) by General Officer Commanding– In – Chief, Army Training Command, recognizing Veterans who continue to serve the society and inspire future generations beyond their years in uniform.
This recognition acknowledges his life long commitment to continue the educational legacy of a non-profit school founded by his grandfather Raosaheb Bandla Bapaiah, 104 years ago for underprivileged rural students, his outstanding contribution to sports, and his efforts to promote health and well-being through yoga for students and their families.
Adding to this remarkable achievement, he has also emerged as National Champion in Lawn Tennis in singles and doubles in 75+ age group. Presently he is the President of Bandla Bapaiah Vidya Samsthala Committee Vetapalem, Bapatla District (A.P.).
